The grid or spring Grid couplings have been designed for maximum versatility. Standard cubes and grids are used with different models of vertical and horizontal sectioned cover. The installation and replacement of the grid is done at a time, at only a fraction of the cost of a complete coupling.

Torsionally flexible and resistant, the Grid couplings reduce vibrations by up to 30% and dampen shock loads, protecting the actuator and powered equipment. The flexible nature of the grid absorbs the impact energy by distributing it over time, which reduces the magnitude of peak loads. This is possible thanks to the progressive contact that occurs between the curved profile of the hub teeth and the flexible grid. Thus, as the load increases, more teeth come into contact with the grid, which allows better protection and performance.

The fast installation and easy maintenance reduce labor and downtime costs. They are fully compatible with industry standards. Moreover, their versatile stocks allow the availability of cover fasteners in metric and imperial dimensions. High quality manufacturing 
Made of high tensile strength steel alloy
, the grid spring is carefully formed and then hardened and tempered under controlled conditions. Next, the grids are shot peened, compressing the surface molecules and leaving a residually stressed surface. This process allows to create a more resistant surface in the compression.

Any load applied to the coupling in operation must first exceed the compressive forces created by the blasting before the tension reaches the grid. This drastically increases the resistance in comparison with other couplings, increasing the reserve resistance to prolong the useful life, allowing to select smaller couplings, with the consequent cost reduction.
