The Elastic Spidex - CJ couplings reduce the periods of torsional loads thanks to a brief storage of part of the energy generated by these blows, thus reducing the irregularity coefficient of the transmission of movement and load.
The Elastic Spidex - CJ couplings cushion the sonic level of the cubes and, therefore, help reduce noise. It transmits the torque twofold and is resistant to spark discharges. The domed canted tooth compensates radial and angular deviations of the coupled axes.
With a thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer, it is highly resistant to wear and very elastic, has good damping properties and is resistant to oils, greases, numerous solvents, climatic influences, ozone and hydrolysis. The working temperature ranges from -40 ° C to +100 ° C in the standard version, but supports short tips of up to +120 ° C.
The standard hardness of the elastomer is 92° Shore A. Elastomers of 95° and 98° Shore A can be used for higher torques. For applications with very high torques there is the 64° Shore D elastomer although this is very hard and has a low damping.
Thanks to the domed shape, the more it deforms, the elastomer teeth are able to absorb more energy.
