Ydins develops custom belts for adapted wheelchairs

Ydins, Lindis's own brand, has designed and manufactured a double-sided timing belt with special machining for wheelchairs adapted to stairs. This application calls for a solution tailored to the equipment, able to transmit motion and provide support on the steps as the chair climbs and descends.

The belt works like a track: the inner teeth mesh with the pulleys, while the outer teeth come into contact with the steps. Special machining adjusts its geometry to the mechanical assembly and to the chair's operating conditions.

This development shows Ydins's ability to offer custom belts when a standard solution does not meet the needs of the application, combining tooth profiles, machining and other features according to the requirements of each project.
